The game we’ve all been waiting for since the season tipped off back in November is finally here. The unanimous top two teams all season long will finally face off tonight on the biggest stage of college basketball and the final game of this historical year. The anticipation for Gonzaga vs Baylor dates all the way back to the beginning of this season when they were scheduled to play each other on December 5th but the game was canceled an hour before tip-off due to a positive COVID test. After a let down of a game between Baylor and Houston and then the all-time game of Gonzaga and UCLA we are left with the two best teams in the entire country. A win in tonight’s game would be either teams first National Championship in school history, will it finally be Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs who get the National Championship monkey off their back or will this be the start of something special for Drew Scott at Baylor?
#1 Gonzaga Bulldogs (31-0) vs (27-2) #2 Baylor Bears (+4.5)

This game may not get the national audience that a Duke vs Kentucky championship game would but this is going to be a game to remember. We have an undefeated Gonzaga team looking to finish the first perfect season since 1976 while also having one of the greatest teams I’ve ever seen. The Baylor Bears have been just as good as Gonzaga this year, only losing two games after coming off of a COVID pause. If that COVID pause never happens for Baylor we could very well be looking at two undefeated teams going at it in the National Championship. I think everyone is riding high off of Baylor’s blowout vs a not so great Houston team and the nail biter win Gonzaga had on Saturday night and kind of forgetting how dominant the Bulldogs have been all season long. Their historic buzzer beater win vs UCLA was only their second win this season by less than double digits. Baylor has been very good as well but playing in a much tougher conference and suffering a long pause had an effect on their record but this team as a whole has the best shot of anyone at taking down Gonzaga. This game is going to be a National Championship to remember no matter who comes out on top but I think the winner of this one will be Gonzaga. Tonight the Bulldogs will finish off a perfect season by beating the #2 overall team in Baylor while bringing home the first National Championship in school history and head coach Mark Few finally gets that ring he deserves.
