Well we ended yesterday with another 1-1 day with a tough late night loss. Our first game of the night looked like a winner from the beginning and thankfully stayed that way all game long. Iowa took it to Ohio State the whole game and eventually won by 9 points to easily cover the 2.5 point spread. Oregon was playing from behind all game and after National Player of the Year candidate, Payton Pritchard, fouled out with the game still within reach it was suddenly out of reach for Oregon. If Pritchard doesn’t foul out I think Oregon wins that game, but what’s done is done and we look to improve our record today. With that being said here are today’s picks.
Kalb’s Picks (9-6-1):
Celtics -6
Celtics at Timberwolves
This is my first NBA pick on Picks Talk and I’m confident it’s going to be a winner. Both teams are well rested after the All Star break so rest comparison won’t be an issue. D’angelo Russell was recently traded to the Timberwolves but KAT was recently ruled out indefinitely so i’m not sure how DLo is going to play with his new team without his boy KAT. I think the Celtics win this game by a lot more than 6 and blowout the Wolves tonight.
St. Peter’s +2
St. Peter’s at Manhattan
Another college basketball Friday night with not so great games on but we must deal with what we have. This game jumps out at me based on the fact that the last time these two teams played St. Peter’s won 70-53, a blowout win and now they are underdogs. This game just makes sense to me so take St. Peter’s +2 and win some money.
Mavs -4
Mavs at Magic
I’m going in big today with a third pick, no risk, no reward. This is my most confident pick of the day. The Mavs are one of the most talented teams with Luka Doncic and Kristaps while the Magic aren’t that great. The Mavs are 18-6-2 ATS away while the Magic are 10-17-1 at home, not too eye popping of stats but it’s a little something. The Mavs are going to win this game by a huge margin and make me some money.
