Picks Talk 2/19

After two straight 2-0 days it was only a matter of time before we came back down to earth. We ended yesterday on a 2-1 record which is still very good but not a clean sweep. We begin with our only loser on the day unfortunately losing outright. Penn State -6.5 looked like a loser most of the game as it was very close throughout and there was never really an opportunity for Penn State to jump out to a big lead. Baylor -3.5 put me even on the day with a big 11 point win and breaking the record of most wins in a row in the Big 12. And finally to put Picks Talk in the green for the day we hit Bluejackets/Flyers over 5.5 by 1 goal but a win is a win and money is money so we end the day at 2-1. This hot streak we got going is something you don’t want to miss out on so make sure to tail these picks and tell a friend!

Kalb’s Picks (7-4-1):

Auburn -4

#13 Auburn at Georgia, 7:00 pm

Auburn is coming off a really tough loss to Missouri on Saturday and Georgia is on a 4 game losing streak with their most recent loss being to Texas A&M. I think Auburn bounces back with a huge win over Georgia tonight. I feel like this line is not as big as it should be I honestly think Auburn wins this game by double digits.

Butler +4.5

#21 Butler at #16 Seton Hall, 6:30 pm

Here we have a top 25 matchup which has occured 56 times this year. In those 56 games the underdog is 33-21-2 ATS and in the last 14 games the underdog is 11-2-1 ATS so all things point to Butler covering +4.5 in this game. This will be a close game throughout and hopefully can end in a 2-3 point victory by either team letting Butler cover the spread.

Joe’s picks

I’m sticking with the Hockey bets. They’ve been working for me and I’m going to keep riding them. I think I’m actually, and dare I say it, getting pretty pretty good with these Hockey lines. For a guy who doesn’t watch hockey on the regular, these lines are calling me, so I will answer.

The pick: Arizona Coyotes/Dallas Stars over 5

Here’s where it can get tricky. Yes, we are seeing an uptick in goals in the NHL this year. Yes, a like of 5 is low. Yes, they’re begging you to take the over. So yes, I am taking the over and I am willing to bet me staying hot.
