Welp we had another losing day on Saturday with a record of 1-3-1. Merrimack wins by only 9 to push a -9 spread and then Virginia and UNC went over by a couple extra points causing me to have a losing day at 0-1-1. West Virginia was never in the game vs Baylor and didn’t even come close to covering +5.5. The Bruins and Lightning won with pretty much no sweat at all to give us our only winner on the day. the Minnesota Wild came nowhere near covering the puck line losing 2-0 to the Sharks. There’s only about half a slate of college basketball and the NBA All Star Game tonight so hopefully that’s enough to put his back on the winning side. Let’s get into today’s picks.
Kalb’s Picks (2-3-1):
Iowa at Minnesota, 1:00 pm
After making my picks based on numbers i find myself a 2-3-1 which is not the worst but it’s not winning so today i’m going with my gut picks. This game just makes sense to me, Iowa is getting 5 points at Minnesota after coming off a huge loss to Indiana on the road. I think they bounce back and possibly win this game but definitely cover 5 points.
San Diego State -5.5
San Diego State at Boise State, 4:00 pm
The Aztecs of San Diego State have been rolling all year long with no signs of them stopping now. Last time these two teams faced off SDSU beat Boise State 83-65, granted the game was in San Diego which does play a huge factor but I still think it should be no problem for the Aztecs to win this game by at least 6.
I got one pick and this is my last chance to go in the green for this week… (unless I lose and then I try and get my money back). But I got one that I am semi-confident with but it’s gambling so you never know.
The pick: Villanova/Iowa ML Parlay
Here’s my reasoning. Iowa HAS to win this game. They’re showing fraudulent behavior as of late and they need to win a road game. They just have too. They are do. If they want any respect they win this game by double digits. The fact they’re getting points makes me sick, they should win this game by 1000. Villanova? If history repeats itself they don’t lose to other Philadelphia teams. I trust Jay Wright to have this tradition continue. Lets get in that green today folks.
