Make sure to read My Updated CFB Top 10 Week 5 before reading this. Another week of college football in the books and not a very impressive week this week with only a few good games and not really many upsets. Next week looks to be a good one for a lot of top teams so i guess this week was just a warmup for these teams. Let’s get into how my top 10 looks after week 6,
#1 Ohio State Buckeyes (6-0)
Last week: 34-10 W vs #25 Michigan State
Next week: Bye
The Buckeyes keep rolling and this time over a ranked opponent. I don’t see anyone stopping this team for a little while so expect the Buckeyes to stay at #1 for a couple more weeks.
#2 Alabama Crimson Tide (5-0)
Last week: Bye
Next week: @ #25 Texas A&M
The Crimson Tide were on a bye this week and look to head to Kyle Field next week and get a ranked win over their belt.
#3 Georgia Bulldogs (5-0)
Last week: 43-14 W @ Tennessee
Next week: vs South Carolina
Much like the Buckeyes I don’t see anyone stopping the Bulldogs for at least 2 more weeks until they face the Florida Gators.
#4 LSU Tigers (5-0)
Last week: 42-6 W vs Utah State
Next week: vs #10 Florida
The Tigers have already had a real tough game this year in the game @ Texas but they still have a bunch more tough games coming up like the game vs Florida next week, then Auburn, Alabama and Texas A&M. If there was ant team to get a win from all these games it’s gonna be this LSU team.
#5 Clemson Tigers (5-0)
Last week: Bye
Next week: vs Florida State
The Tigers were on a bye this past week and look to get a conference win over the Seminoles next week.
#6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Last week: 52-0 W vs Bowling Green
Next week: vs USC
The Irish have a very good team this year and possibly is better than last years team but still really has no shot at the playoffs so they are just pretty much playing for a new year’s six bowl games.
#7 Texas Longhorns (5-0)
Last week: 42-31 W @ West Virginia
Next week: vs #6 Oklahoma
The Longhorns finally get a shot at another top 10 team after coming up short vs LSU earlier in the season. If Texas can get a win in this game it puts them in a prime position in the Big 12 and to possibly make the playoffs.
#8 Oklahoma Sooners (5-0)
Last week: 45-20 W @ Kansas
Next week: vs #11 Texas
The Sooners finally get a shot at some real competition next week in the Texas Longhorns and we’ll finally get to see just how good this team is because i’m not sold on this team yet.
#9 Auburn Tigers (5-1)
Last week: 24-13 L @ #10 Florida
Next week: Bye
The Auburn Tigers have finally lost and it really isn’t that bad for them considering their strength of schedule so far this year and then throughout the rest of the year. If the Tigers can win through the rest of their schedule this loss won’t really be that big of a deal come the end of the year.
#10 Wisconsin Badgers (5-0)
Last week: 48-0 W vs Kent State
Next week: vs #25 Michigan State
The Badgers make their first appearance on this list this season and very well deserved of them to be on this list. They are the real deal this year and could really make the playoffs if they keep playing like this.
