Weird schedule this week as we’ve had Cup ties during the week, now we have FA Cup games this weekend then prowler league action Tuesday then Saturday. Soccer boner is fully fucking erect. Well start with the only FA Cup game worth talking about Friday.
Man U @ Arsenal — Man U winners of 7 straight games, well documented everyone knows. Arsenal have just beat Chelsea in their best performance in over a month. United have been shy about the lineup they’ll put out but I would expect Rashford, and Martial to rest with Sanchez and Lukaku drawing starts. Romero will get this game in goal as well, Arsenal will put out a healthy lineup close to full strength. I think United lose 2-1 and lose their first game under Ole. This could be a blessing with UCL games, and a fight for the top four on the horizon.
MATCH DAY 24- We start, as we do every week with the table.
Liverpool host Leicester
Liverpool seem to be holding on by the skin of their teeth right now. Salah flopped them into a win last weekend but Leicester have been awful, only winning once in 2019, and that being January 1st. Liverpool will be missing Milner but at the end of the day that’s not a huge loss in game like this. Liverpool win 2-1.
Man City @ Newcastle
Newcastle coming off a huge win moving them from the bottom 3 get the gift of Pops fully lubricated buzz saw. Man City can smell Liverpool leaking a trail of blood, it honestly just feels like a matter of time before Liverpool blow this. Man City run rampant again. City wins 4-0
Spurs host Watford
Tottenham is a dumpster fire right now let’s call it what it is. Kane injured, Son away on international duty, and now Dele gone until March. Good thing Spurs spend a lot of money and have a deep squad…wait that was ugly I’m sorry. Tottenham going from “title contenders” to most likely to not make the top 4 is peak Spurs. It took a 93rd minute winner to beat Fulham last week.
Watford win 2-1
Arsenal host Cardiff
Let’s just start by saying prayers to all Cardiff fans and Nantes fans. Heartbreaking news this week of Sala they’re 20 million new strikers plane crashing in the English Channel. They stopped the search and presumed him dead this morning. Awful, awful stuff. Arsenal are set up for a good run of form if they can beat United Friday. They’ll claim victories over Chelsea, and United in the cup that Emery has righted the ship. Arsenal have no direction they don’t have the players or spending to compete with Chelsea, Man U, City, and Liverpool. I just feel they’ll finish 5th this year and look to spend in the summer. Tragedy brings people together, Cardiff play for their lost 9.
Cardiff win 3-2.
Man U host Burnley
Ole, ole, ole how can you not love the hobbit looking man. Rashford looks like an English Hazard dancing, and slicing. Pogba is full of goals and confidence and has kept one haircut. DeGea is all world, Marital realizes he can beat anyone. This is the United we all want. I don’t even care about Burnley, maybe last year this would’ve been a good game but not this year.
AMERICAN OF THE WEEK
Just as our proud freedom boners were settling back into half chubs after the Pulisic record transfer. Our other young prodigy Tim Weah decided to ransack the country of Scotland. 2 goals in two games, on fire with the Instagram posts. Weah is full of pace and willing to add flare to an attack. Celtic is a perfect place for him to grow confidence and gets games, the most important thing for him right now. Here’s his first game highlights.
