Well today, today is a good day for all Giants everywhere.
Odell Beckham Jr. is officially locked up for another 5 seasons in a Big Blue uniform.
OBJ, Saquon, Shepard, and Engram are four dynamic playmakers the Giants will have in the primes of their careers. They’re may not be a better offensive weapons group better than than in the NFL.
At the end of the contract, Odell Beckham Jr. will lead the New York Giants in every major statistical receiving category . He’s already knocking on the door of 2nd place all time in touchdowns (needs 11 this year) and receiving yards (needs 1,011).
The best receiver in franchise history got paid and it’s well deserved.
Here are the final numbers on the contract. The Giants actually did fairly well for themselves by front loading the deal.
It’s a good day to be a Giants fan and a bad day to be Pat Leonard and Gary Myers who spent the entire offseason saying OBJ will be traded.
Those bogus rumors are now dead. Odell Beckham Jr. is the face of the franchise and will continue to be for the long term.
Bring on Week 1 and Jacksonville!
