The NBA draft Lottery is quickly approaching and teams are scrambling to see why prospect can change their team for the foreseeable future. It’s not far fetch to believe that a rookie can absolutely change the direction of your team in Year 1; cc: Donovan Mitchell, Jayson Tatum, Ben Simmons. All rookies, all dominated the NBA Playoffs.

I have seen multiple websites try and power rank the NBA draft prospects and what they can bring to the table right away and for the future. What I’m gonna do here, is just list them and then go into more in depth when the draft gets closer. It is Mother’s Day you know, can’t have all the time to blog.

But here’s the criteria I’m going to rank them on:

  • Can they change their team right away
  • Long term future
  • Pure Talent
  • Winning mentality

So, let’s get the list going. If you disagree or wanna discuss the list, start the conversation on @wingspansports on twitter and we’ll discuss.

  1. Luka Dončić
  2. Deandre Ayton
  3. Michael Porter Jr.
  4. Marvin Bagley
  5. Mikal Bridges
  6. Jaren Jackson Jr.
  7. Miles Bridges
  8. Zharie Smith
  9. Mo Bamba
  10. Kevin Knox
  11. Trae Young
  12. Collin Sexton
  13. Robert Williams
  14. Wendell Carter
  15. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

So, there’s my list. Again, it’s not all based off where I think these guys are going or how they’ll be drafted. It’s not even all off talent. It’s based off all 4 factors above. Let us know what you think.
