Sterling Shepard hurt in Training Camp

Written by: Joe Ryan

I hate training camp. I hate football. I hate my life.

You have got to be kidding me. This is the FREAKING worst. I wanna scream. Training camp SUCKS. Always, always, always something happens to a star player.

Sterling Shepard went down while doing a 1v1 drill and was carted off the field with tears in his eyes. And now I want to cry.

Shepard had 65 catches for 683 yards and 8 TD's last season while playing a huge role in the offense. Head Coach Ben Macadoo had already said that Shepard already looks like so much of a better player than last year. So, basically Shepard was going to put up even better numbers this year.

Bye bye Super Bowl if he's out for an extended amount of time. Shepard is the Giants 2nd best receiver and was looking for a breakout year this year. He was an absolute beast his Rookie year and with him, OBJ and B. Marshall the Giants had he best receiving core in the game.

Hopefully this injury is just a scare or a cramp, but if it's anything more, the Giants are screwed.

Keep checking @wingspansports on twitter for more news when we find out more on Shepard

UPDATE:

Giants hopefully it's just a bad roll of the ankle. Giants said to 'stay tuned'.

If it's just a rolled ankle he should be back in a week or 2 but I'm no doctor. Hopefully it's nothing more.

UPDATE #2:

Sterling Shepard returns to practice today.

Thank the freakin Lord 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Super Bowl Back on!!! Giants vs Patriots part 3!!!!

*Who am I kidding, the Pats will be there but when he Giants have these lofty goals they never live up to them. I pray this year is different. This year needs to be different. Eli needs that 3rd ring. He needs to have one more ring than Peyton.*

Let's go Big Blue!!!
