“The news continues to get no better for the Ohio State men’s basketball program. On Wednesday, national top-30 guard M.J. Walker announced he would enroll this summer at Florida State. He picked the Seminoles over Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and UCLA.
The 6-5 Walker is rated as the nation’s No. 26 prospect overall for 2017 as well as the nation’s No. 4 shooting guard and No. 3 player in Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite.” (Via 247sports)
The Seminoles get their guy. After a very, very long process, M.J. Walker has finally made his decision to go to Florida State. The #26th overall recruit, according to 247sports, will make an immediate impact for Florida State. The 6’5″ shooting guard averaged 24.9 ppg, 6 rpg and 2.9 apg in 62 career high school games.
Walker can flat out score the basketball. He’s got good range and can knock down the long jumper. He can create his own shot off the deibnle and is a pure scorer. Walker should make an immediate impact for the Seminoles after Dwayne Bacon, Jonathan Isaac and Michael Ojo all declared for the NBA draft.
The Seminoles are inexperienced but they still have talent. It’s uncertain how they’ll perform this year but with Terance Mann set to have a breakout year, along side M.J. Walker, Florida State will stay competitive in the ACC.
