Rangers Forwards too much for the Senators, take Game 4 to even the Series

Coming into game 4, it seemed like the Rangers were up big in the series due to how they dominated most of the game play. The Sens only led for a little over four minutes in the first three games. They got the late bounces and made the big time plays in the first two games when it mattered. The Rangers would answer and dominate game 3 in every aspect of the game. They would do the same in game 4. Right off the bat just a little over a minute into the game the Rangers would get Grabner on a breakaway. However, Anderson would make the save. The Sens would get some chances too but the Rangers would do a good job blocking shots in front of Lundqvist. Later in the 1st, the Rangers would strike first. The Sens were on the attack and a quick counter by the Rangers led to a 3 on 2…

Nice show of skill by Holden who is a back end defender. This got the crowd rocking. Whenever the Garden is loud, the Rangers play faster and harder. Really is a home-ice advantage. In the 2nd period, the Rangers would continue to block shots. They would score again just two minutes in off another counter attack, this time off a blocked shot…

That is the Rangers 4th line blocking shots and scoring. Glass blocked the shot, Grabner made the pass and Lindberg finished it off. Back to back games with goals for Lindberg. The Sens would come right back down and get a good chance but Lundqvist would make a big save to keep the momentum..

Later in the period, the Rangers 4th line would strike again. Glass would do a good job attacking and get in behind the net to dish one back out. Miller was there on the boards to dish it back out to Lindberg who ripped one top shelf past Anderson. The game seemed over at this point. The Rangers were the better team and Sens had nothing. Its almost like the brutal series against the Bruins and the tough two first games against the Rangers have sucked the energy out of the Sens. They rely so much on their quick strike offense. Anderson was pulled going into the 3rd and Karlsson sat the entire period. The Sens essentially threw the towel in. The Rangers would get a power play goal midway through the 3rd to put the nail in the coffin. Kreider would clean up a rebound in front. The Sens would get a goal to make it 4-1 which ended up being the final. The game got very physical and chippy as it went on. Here is the last minute which took forever…

The Rangers fans were chanting “Sloppy Seconds!” at Phaneuf. Former teammate Phil Kessel (now a Penguins star) fucked his wife while they were still playing together in Toronto. Classic New York.

Series: 2-2 tied and headed back to Ottawa. Game 4 ended with a blood bath. Look for game 5 to have a fight or something early to set the tone. The Sens look tired, but playing at home could be the edge they need. The Rangers speed on offense continues to be problems for the opponent. Lundqvist is back to being “King Lundqvist.” It is the Rangers series to lose now. They have been dominating most of the game play. They have been good on the road all year, I see them taking game 5 on the road and finishing it off at home in game 6.
