Rajon Rondo has been ruled out from playing in tonight’s game 5 against the Boston Celtics.
Rondo is still dealing with a broken right thumb that caused him to miss games 3 and 4.
There was speculation that Rondo may be available to play tonight as he had the cast removed from his hand. However, he will be unavailable for the Bulls.
The Bulls sure could use Rondo in the lineup as they won games 1 and 2 on the road with Rondo playing and lost games 3 and 4 at home with Rondo out.
Rondo was averaging 11.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 10 assists and 3.5 steals in this playoff series. The Bulls have averaged 108.5 points per game these playoffs with Rondo starting in the lineup compared to 91 points when hes out.
