Charlie Moore Commits to Kansas

According to reports, Cal transfer Charlie Moore has officially transferred to the University of Kansas. Charlie Moore, averaged 12.2 points per game and 3.5 assists per game during his Freshman season at Cal.

Moore is going to be a phenomenal fit for the Jayhawks. Since he is a transferring after his freshman year, he will have to sit one and then he has 3 years left of eligibility. This is a big time get for Coach Self and the Jayhawks.

Moore is going to practice against one of the best backcourts in the county next year, for a full year. Moore did turn the ball over a lot in his freshman year at Cal, but I guarantee that, 1. Bill Self will fix that problem immediately  and with ease, and 2. when Moore is practicing with Devonte Graham and Malik Newman for a full year, his ball handing will turn from a liability to a major asset.

This is big news for the Jayhawks because, for starters this is Devonte Graham final season at Kansas before he graduates and heads to the NBA, and for all purposes, Malik Newman will only play one year with Kansas (this year) and then go to the NBA, because he’ll thrive in the Kansas system this year. Also, there is a chance Lagerald Vick continues improving from his breakout Sophomore season, and head to the Association at the end of this upcoming year. So that leads an empty void at the guard position. Insert Charlie Moore and Kansas already has 3 out of their 5 starters for the 2018-2019 season due to the Lawson Brothers committing to the Jayhawks a couple weeks ago when they transferred from Memphis, without recruiting ONE high school kid yet. That is insane. Kansas is not only loaded this year but probably even more loaded for their 2018-2019 season.

The commitment from Moore is huge because now Self can focus on how to fill the rest of his roster. And if players leave for the draft? They already have 3- 4 guaranteed for the 2019 team in 2017. My God that is incredible. Bill Self is the man. Charlie Moore welcome to the best college basketball program in the country.

Rock Chalk
